Allan Krinsman concentrates primarily in mortgage-backed securities. He represents underwriters and issuers in: public and private securitizations backed by single-family, home equity, cooperative and manufactured housing loans; the issuance of MBS by subsidiaries of mortgage banking companies and REITs; and repackagings of previously issued securities.
Mr. Krinsman has been involved in structuring and documenting, among other things, warehouse financing programs, repurchase agreements, credit derivatives, asset-backed commercial paper programs and market value and cash flow CDOs. He is experienced in structuring owner trusts, master trusts, grantor trusts, REMICs and off-shore and domestic special purpose corporation vehicles that have issued a variety of debt and equity securities, such as CDOs backed by diversified portfolios of financial assets.
Prior to joining Stroock, Mr. Krinsman was a partner for the law firms of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and Brown & Wood. He serves as designated underwriters’ counsel for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, GMAC Mortgage Corporation, Advanta Mortgage Corporation USA, Household Finance Corporation and Irwin Home Equity Corporation. He has also done advisory and securitization work for Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation and was part of the team that served as counsel to the Resolution Trust Corporation.
