Alka joined The Brenner Group in 2007. She brings over 14 years of financial management experience and is well-versed in areas such as financial planning and analysis as well as strategic planning and execution for early stage technology firms in the software and services industries. Alka also has expertise in deal and margin analysis, business partnering and corporate treasury, and has led complex projects such as company restructurings and spin-offs. Prior to The Brenner Group, Alka was Vice President and CFO at Naehas Inc., in Menlo Park. At Naehas she was responsible for financial planning and analysis, management reporting, revenue recognition, equity accounting, general ledger, stock administration, legal, employee benefit plans, tax planning and compliance. She continues on the advisory Board of Naehas. Before that, she was a co-founder and CFO at Caslon & Company also in Menlo Park where she was responsible for all financial and accounting functions. At Caslon she established the company’s financial infrastructure and designed and implemented policies and procedures. She remains on the Board of Caslon. Before that, Alka was the CFO at San Francisco-based Nimblefish Technologies where she was responsible for all financial, legal and human resources functions. She started her career in investment banking at ICICI Group of Bombay, India. Alka received her MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and her BS in Accounting from the University of Delhi, both in India. She is currently pursuing her California CPA license. |
