Mr. Gursel, partner of Curtis London, has 14 years of experience in representing clients in corporate matters, with special emphasis on representing foreign sovereigns or their agencies as borrowers in financing transactions. Mr. Gursel has represented states and state agencies in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, North and Central America and the Caribbean in a variety of financing transactions and disputes. He has extensive experience in multi-billion dollar project financings in various jurisdictions around the world.
Mr. Gursel spent 2006 as a secondee to the Kosovo Trust Agency, the United Nations agency responsible for the administration of Kosovo’s public enterprises and acted as Deputy Head of the Legal Department.
Mr. Gursel has been the managing partner of the Firm’s Istanbul office since its opening in the Spring of 2007 and has been working on matters in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia.
