Ali Bahaj is vice president with responsibility for leading the negotiations to increase Caterpillar's ownership in Shin Caterpillar Mitsubishi.
He previously served as Caterpillar's Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and vice president of Caterpillar's Corporate Auditing and Compliance Division, responsible for Corporate Internal and Information Technology Auditing, Corporate Business Risk Management, Corporate Environmental Health and Safety and the Office of Business Practices. He has held his current position since 2007.
Bahaj joined the company in 1980 as an account analyst in Corporate Treasury. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with both bachelor's and master's degrees in Economics. He earned a master's degree in business administration from the American Graduate School of International Management, and completed Duke University's Advanced Management Program.
Bahaj is formerly a member of the Rotary Club of Peoria, and serves on the board of directors of Easter Seals-UCP, the Human Services Center, the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, the Fayette Companies, the Peoria Zoological Society, and the Tropical Forest Foundation. |
