Alfred Wheeler received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961 from Princeton University and his Juris Doctorate, in 1964 from Yale Law School. He also received a Masters Degree in Taxation from New York University Law School in 1969. Prior to becoming Of Counsel with McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP in September 2005, Mr. Wheeler was a member of the New York City law firm of Jacobs Persinger & Parker. Mr. Wheeler’s practice has involved all areas of taxation, individual and corporate including estate and gift tax matters, mergers and acquisitions and international tax matters and aircraft finance and other equipment leasing transactions. Mr. Wheeler’s practice also involves executive compensation and ERISA matters. In addition to the tax aspects of his practice Mr. Wheeler has also had extensive experience in general corporate and business and financial matters particularly involving closely held businesses including partnerships and limited liability companies, and counseling clients in connection with the establishment and operation of hedge funds and other private investment funds and in the investment advisory field. Mr. Wheeler was admitted to practice in New York in 1965 and is a member of the bars of the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York and the United States Tax Court. |
