A Louisville native, Pete Kirven graduated from Yale University and received an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College. After two years as a public high school teacher in Kentucky, he joined Chemical Bank in New York City where he became a commercial loan officer. He later worked for Young & Rubicam Advertising, at the time, the nation's largest ad agency. After returning home to Louisville, Pete founded his own advertising agency with several financial institutions as clients, and ran it successfully for ten years. When Microsoft's Paul Allen invested in a Louisville high-speed Internet access company, Darwin Networks, Pete was hired to direct the national marketing roll out. Pete has served on the Dare to Care Food Bank board with BSG Financial founder Barrett Nichols, has volunteered for Louisville Collegiate School, and served many years on the board of directors for YMCA Camp Piomingo. |
