Experience:
Alexis Dargent is a well-regarded corporate and transactional attorney who focuses particularly on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other aspects of corporate reorganizations and restructurings. In addition, he represents clients across a broad spectrum of issues relating to private equity and employment and management incentive plans.
In the course of his practice, Alexis counsels senior and subordinated lenders and equity participants, senior-level company executives, investment bankers, and HR strategists. With substantial experience in both domestic and cross-border transactions, he is well-versed in EU competition law and the European regulatory environment. He was ranked by Chambers as a leading individual in France in the area of private equity, and by Private Equity Magazine as N°1 in the field of assistance to Management in LBOs.
Alexis joined Mayer Brown in 2003 and was named partner a year later. Previously, he was associated with three other leading European law firms. Alexis is fluent in French (native speaker) and English.
Notable Engagements:
Advised the management of a leading european company in the area of inspection, testing, certification, ship classification in the $6.3 billion listing on EuronextTM Paris of the company (2007).
Advised the management of a $9 billion leading european company in the area of business directories listed on EuronextTM Paris in order to structure its co-investment with a private equity fund in the company (2006).
