Professional Experience
Mr. Tsao is an associate in the firmīs Los Angeles office where he is a member of the firmīs Real Estate Group. He has significant experience in negotiating, interpreting, and drafting commercial contracts in both the private and government sectors. He has also advised/assisted private and federal entities on a myriad of other legal matters. Mr. Tsaoīs current practice primarily focuses on complex real estate and corporate transactions. He represents a wide array of clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing of improved and unimproved real property assets, as well as due diligence investigations related to those transactions.
Prior to joining this firm, Mr. Tsao practiced with a firm that served as outside counsel to an internet technology company, where he also participated in complex commercial disputes and class-action litigation. Most recently, Mr. Tsao was on active duty as a judge advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as the Chief Prosecutor, representing the government in criminal proceedings, and then the Chief Civil Law Officer, advising installation commands on matters pertaining to real estate, ethics, FOIA, land use/jurisdiction and contracts, for Marine Corps Recruit Depot/Eastern Recruiting Region, Parris Island, South Carolina.
