Dr. Alexander Tretyakov brings over 20 years of experience spanning a diverse range of organic chemistries. His background includes organometallic and chiral chemistries, de-novo route design, development of new chemical technologies and scale up from laboratory to plant scale. He is responsible for directing all of CML’s R&D and process development personnel; mostly Ph.D. level scientists.Prior to joining CML he formed the startup company, Omega Engineering, providing custom synthesis solutions to the pharma and fine chemical industries. Before that he worked in various roles in chemical engineering, R&D, and plant management. He earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Oklahoma, where he studied new strategies for the synthesis of Cyclopentadienyl and Indenyl Metallocene Dichloride Complexes. He also devised and synthesized new classes of bridged bisindenyl ligands used in chiral synthesis. He earned his Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Leningrad Chemical-Pharmaceutical Institute, Leningrad, Russia, where he studied various six-membered heterocyclic compounds with potential antitumor activity using the [3+3] and [4+2] cycloaddition reactions. |
