Alex Seelenberger joined Athelera in August 2007 as an Associate. From 2002 to 2005 Alex was a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group based in Santiago de Chile, providing strategic advisory to large multinational companies in countries such as Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela. A highlight of his assignments includes a strategic advisory for a leading global pharmaceutical company in Brazil, a strategic assessment for the Latin American operations of a global electronic payments provider, a market research of the UK wine industry for a large Chilean winery, and a cost reduction and efficiency improvement plan for the world’s largest copper producer in Chile and for a leading Brazilian mining conglomerate. Alex also co-lectured in 2002 introductory economics courses at the University of Chile. During the summer of 2006, Alex worked for ACCION International a world leader in microfinance- developing an innovative investment fund focused on microfinance infrastructure. He identified a pipeline of potential investment targets, performed due-diligence on selected companies, and participated in a funding round. Between September and December of 2001 alongside University of Chile’s faculty- Alex assisted the Central Bank of Ecuador in the development of bankruptcy early alert indicators for their banking sector. Alex holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar, and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Chile where he graduated first in his class. Alex is a citizen of Chile, and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. |
