Dr. Rich is a founder of Alkermes and has been a director of Alkermes since 1987. Dr. Rich has been a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 1958, and is the William Thompson Sedgwick Professor of Biophysics and Biochemistry. Dr. Rich earned both an A.B. (magna cum laude) and an M.D. (cum laude) from Harvard University. Dr. Rich is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Institute of Medicine. Dr. Rich is Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Repligen Corporation, Inc., a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of U.S. Genomics, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors for Profectus Biosciences, Inc. Dr. Rich also serves on the editorial boards of Genomics and Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics.
