Mr. Alexander Newman is a Managing Engineer in Exponent's Civil Engineering practice. Mr. Newman has over 28 years of experience in structural engineering design and construction. He has specialized expertise in building and industrial structure design exterior building envelopes failure investigation and structural repair/renovation. In addition to being a practicing engineer Mr. Newman has authored two popular engineering reference books: Structural Renovation of Buildings and Metal Building Systems: Design and Specifications both published by McGraw-Hill and travels extensively lecturing on these topics.
Prior to joining Exponent Mr. Newman was a Principal Structural Engineer with Maguire Group Inc. an architectural and engineering firm in Foxborough MA where he was responsible for structural design of projects throughout the country ranging from simple residential buildings to complex multistory industrial facilities. |
