Dr. Imberg is the Chair of CB&M’s German practice. He is licensed to practice in both the United States (California) and Germany. As a native German living in the U.S. since 1996, he is well versed in both languages and cultures. Prior to relocating to the U.S. and joining CB&M in 1998, Dr. Imberg practiced in Germany where he represented clients in general civil and commercial litigation matters. Since then, he has focused his practice on U.S. commercial and product liability litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of German and other European manufacturers in U.S. courts. As a litigator, Dr. Imberg represents clients in state as well as in federal courts throughout the United States. He has tried major U.S. cases to verdict and, when appropriate, resolved matters though the means of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), i.e., arbitration and mediation. In 2006, Dr. Imberg successfully represented a German not-for-profit foundation in a multi-million dollar breach of contract, interference with contract, and copyright action, which was ultimately resolved at mediation. Dr. Imberg today serves as national coordinating counsel for one of the world’s leading German automobile manufacturers. He also counsels clients in the area of product safety, preventative product liability, risk management, corporate and commercial law. |
