Alex Schoch is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. He joined Peabody in October 2006 with responsibility for all law and corporate secretary functions for Peabody Energy. Prior to joining Peabody he most recently served as Vice President and General Counsel for Emerson Process Management.
Alex has 27 years of extensive corporate legal experience. His prior positions include various legal positions with Goodrich Corporation serving as Vice President Associate General Counsel and Secretary. He also was an Attorney and International Attorney for Marathon Oil Company.
Alex is a member of the State American and International Bar Associations and a member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois Texas and Ohio.
