Alex Lefferts is a Manager in the Boston office of StoneTurn Group and leads the Data Analytics practice which provides support to multiple functions, including Forensic Accounting and Complex Litigation. Alex has significant experience in data collection, mining, processing, and reporting of transactional data. Prior to joining StoneTurn, Alex provided analytical testing solutions for a Big 4 public accounting firm related to fraud detection and complex analyses including mutual fund market timing cases, stock option investigations, royalty calculations, insurance premium pricing violations, asset misappropriation cases, revenue recognition and other anomaly detection reviews. Alex also creates GUI-based software applications for custom client needs. His experience includes work within a number of industries, including the financial services, technology, healthcare and manufacturing industries. Prior to Alex s Big 4 experience, he spent five years developing and supporting HTML and GUI-based software solutions for an application service provider. He is a graduate of Babson College and, in addition to frequent speaking engagements, Alex is a regular guest speaker at Northeastern University s Investigative Accounting and Fraud Examination class. .
