Alex Long, president, is a co-founder of ESP. He founded the company with an initial goal of helping to commercialize software developed by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) for the Power Industry. He then transitioned the Company to a leading supplier of environmental software products developed in collaborative initiatives with industrial partners. His technical guidance has helped to shape the application of the product to different media and industry sectors, his insistence on customer satisfaction has resulted in phenomenal customer satisfaction and annual renewal rates, and his attention to personnel have enabled the Company to create a strong foundation for future growth. Previous to founding ESP, Alex was a co-founder of Expert-EASE Systems, a company that supplied graphic modeling tools used widely in the petrochemical, power, and mathematical simulation fields. He holds a Ph.D., M.S. from the University of Illinois, and a B.A. from Williams College. Alex is actively involved with activities on California’s North Coast. He is serving as Treasurer on the Board of a rural medical clinic (RCMS), and has served as the Treasurer on the Board of the local community (The Sea Ranch). |
