Alex Brotschi, a Research Analyst at KLD, manages a portfolio of companies in the industrial sector, including companies in the manufacturing, transportation, electronics, aerospace, and construction industries.
Prior to joining KLD, Alex was a research intern at Verite Inc., an Amherst based non-profit focusing on international labor law and human rights issues. He also worked as a business-consulting intern at the Small Business Development Center of Western Massachusetts, in Springfield.
Alex graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors from the Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, with a triple major in Economics, Legal Studies, and Social Thought and Political Economy. His undergraduate thesis focused on the relationship between unions and the state, and the disparity in rising productivity and the falling real wage in the manufacturing sectors of the United States and France.
Alex has also been active in numerous campus and local groups addressing issues of social and environmental justice and sustainability. |
