Mr. Sabo’s litigation practice includes the representation of financial services firms and insurers. He has substantial courtroom experience, having tried civil and criminal cases and argued appeals in State and Federal court. His experience includes regulatory matters, arbitrations, and class actions. Mr. Sabo is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Florida and has handled cases in all courts in Florida, from county court to the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Sabo’s representation of the financial services industry includes regulatory investigations and enforcement actions brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, New York Stock Exchage (NYSE), Commodities Board of Exchange, the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), and Florida Department of Financial Services. His arbitration practice includes cases brought under the NASD Code of Arbitration Procedure and the NYSE Arbitration Rules. His representation of financial services firms in civil litigation includes State and Federal trials and appeals, as well as class actions. Mr. Sabo’s representation of insurers involves complex and significant issues, including class actions. His cases have included a myriad of issues such as product liability, property damage coverage, regulatory compliance, and sales of unregistered securities. He serves as a member of a national team of lawyers representing an insurer in property damage coverage issues. Mr. Sabo is a member of the Securities Industry Association Law and Compliance Division and the Florida Securities Dealers Association, where he serves on the Board of Governors. He regularly speaks at the annual meeting of the Florida Securities Dealers Association on issues significant to securities firms and their registered employees. |
