Alex Jantzen brings 10 years of hands-on experience in the Mexican and Latin American arenas to the table. In-depth knowledge of the region's socio-political and economic trends have played an important role in Alex's strategic development and tactical implementation for a number of highly successful businesses in Mexico. These include a 1-year-old start up U.S. construction firm that maintained its growth during the economic down turn of 1994. U.S. construction techniques were combined with local labor to bring projects online faster and more economically than the market standard and kept the company on the fast track while 75 % of the local industry closed down.
That success was followed by assisting a family-owned company go public. Reorganization and aggressive acquisitions doubled sales within 2 years to become the 3rd largest group in their sector. A failing division was turned around in 90 days to become one of the top performers in its group and a prototype for follow on projects. Several international master franchise operations were added that are now market leaders.
Today, Alex is providing strategic consulting services to firms in the transportation, technology, manufacturing and retail franchise sectors. He is a guest speaker on establishing corporate governance, the service profit chain, strategic marketing, organizational learning and administration by results.
Alex originally trained as an Architect. After more than 10 years in the architectural and construction industry in both the U.S. and Mexico, he entered the MBA program at the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion Empresarial in Mexico City as one of the few Americans to attend the school. Today he uses this unique combination of skills and experiences to build businesses in Mexico's newly established democracy. |
