Mr. Ovi was a member of the Supervisory Board from 1994 until his to the extent relevant term expired at our annual general meeting of shareholders on March 18, 2005. He received a doctoral degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Politecnico in Milan and a masters degree in operations research from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been Special Advisor to the President of the European Community for five years and served on the boards of Telecom Italia S.p.A, Finmeccanica SpA, Alitalia SpA. Until April 2000, Mr. Ovi was the Chief Executive Officer of Tecnitel S.p.A., a subsidiary of Telecom Italia Group. Prior to joining Tecnitel S.p.A., Mr. Ovi was the Senior Vice President of International Affairs and Communications at I.R.I. |
