Alejandro Muñoz, vice president, North America Sales, is responsible for seed sales in the United States and Canada.Having worked at Pioneer for more than 25 years, Alejandro has served in a number of positions around the world. He began his career as quality control manager in Latin America in 1981. Two years later, Alejandro became responsible for market development and production for Central America, Andean Pact and the Caribbean.
He was then promoted to operations manager, Pioneer Mexico in 1988, and was appointed general manager of Híbridos Pioneer de México, S.A. de C.V. in 1991. Alejandro was named Pioneer general manager, Argentina in 1999, and promoted to director, Latin America in 2004. In 2005, he moved to Switzerland to serve as Operations director, Europe, and was then promoted to vice president, Europe Operations, in 2006.Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy from the National University of Costa Rica. He completed specialization courses in finance and accounting at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Graduate School of Business and in marketing at the University of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
