Al has more than 25 years experience developing analytical instrumentation and software. A faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Tufts University in Massachusetts, Al was honored with an Environmental Technology Initiative award by President Clinton in 1995 for developing the concept of dynamic site investigations, and for creating what are now Ion Signature Technology's deconvolution algorithms and field-based instrumentation. Ion Signature Technology's algorithms are critical to the deployment of rapid screening and quantitative GC/MS instruments in lab and field applications. Al frequently provides consulting for analytical instrumentation companies, as well as for state and federal agencies. He received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania. |
