Albert is an award-winning expert in digital image processing who is named on more than 80 patents relating to analog and digital imaging technology, many as sole inventor. Al leads a team of imaging scientists at SozoTek who have developed technologies resulting in over 200 patents in the past ten years. Al co-founded and served as Chief Scientist with Applied Science Fiction (acquired by Kodak). In this capacity, he developed the company’s numerous patented technologies relating to film scanning, surface defect correction, color reconstruction and digital film processing. Al previously served as a Senior Scientist/Engineer with IBM. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University. He recently received the 2003 Technical Achievement Award from the PhotoImaging Manufacturers and Distributors Association, Inc. (PMDA). In his spare time, he is also a noted fine art photographer. |
