Dr. Albert Chen has over 20 years of experience in the software and technology industry. He joined BroadVision in 1995 and most recently served as Vice President of Technology, where he was the major driving force for the creation of two new product lines - BroadVision Staging Services and BroadVision Search Adaptor. He helped set the product direction, and embraced Open Source Technology for the BroadVision base products. He was also responsible for the platform support and Internationalization and Localization support for all the major BroadVision product releases. Dr. Chen built the BroadVision Global Services Organization for the Asia Pacific Japan Region and served as the P&L leader in 1999. Prior to joining BroadVision, he helped build the Non-Stop SQL Query Optimization engine at Tandem. From 1990 to 1992, he invented Access Path Selection algorithms for the DB2 DBMS engine at IBM, Santa Teresa Lab. Dr. Chen earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley. |
