Mr. Lord has served in this position since 1997. SLM Corp. (commonly known as Sallie Mae) is the United States' leading provider of education funding. From 1994 to 1997 Mr. Lord was President and principal shareholder of LCL Ltd an investment and financial consulting firm. From 1981 to 1994 Mr. Lord held several executive positions at Sallie Mae including Controller and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Lord also serves on the boards of SS&C Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SSNC) and The National Academy Foundation. For the past three years he has chaired School Night Washington D.C.’s largest fundraising event to support education for disadvantaged families. Mr. Lord joined BearingPoint's board of directors in February 2003. |
