Albert J. Breneisen has been involved in litigation and the procurement of patents in the United States and other countries for over 35 years. Mr. Breneisen has extensive experience in adversarial proceedings relating to enforcement and the defense of claims in patent litigation in various courts throughout the United States. In this regard, Mr. Breneisen has tried and argued cases before various United States District Courts, Appellate Courts, State Courts and Arbitration Tribunals both in the United States and internationally, including the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Breneisen also has litigation experience in the United States relating to the enforcement and defense of claims in cases involving false advertising, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. He also has extensive experience with litigation in Europe and Japan in the context of international enforcement of the client’s counterpart patent rights.
Mr. Breneisen also counsels clients and structured licensing programs involving intellectual property as part of the client’s licensing program and in resolution of existing or potential litigation. Patent owners, as well as potential infringers, have been counseled with respect to patent validity and infringement issues and other adversarial matters. Typical clients include both large and small consumer, pharmaceutical and manufacturing oriented companies. |
