Alastair R. Al Deane is senior vice president technology at The Timken Company and an officer of the company.
Since joining Timken in 2005 Deane has refocused the company’s global network of technology centers to strengthen core technical competencies and leverage Timken’s global growth strategy. Timken’s 14 worldwide technology centers provide product design application and manufacturing technology for the company’s broad range of powertrain and friction management solutions.
Prior to joining Timken Deane served as senior vice president of engineering at GKN Driveline a global supplier of driveline components and systems. In more than six years at GKN Driveline he held a range of global engineering responsibilities in automotive sideshafts propshafts and torque-management products. Deane has nearly 20 years of engineering experience in automotive brake components and anti-lock brake systems with The Kelsey-Hayes Company and the Robert Bosch Corporation.
Deane holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. |
