As co-founder and CEO, Alan is the primary architect for the company’s business strategy, its articulation, alignment with operations and execution. He is also responsible for the development of business partnerships and expansion opportunities for the organization. Under Alan's careful eye and insightful leadership, Comm-Works has achieved profitability every quarter since its inception in 1995.
Prior to co-founding the company, Alan was a district manager for Agency Rent-a-Car Systems, responsible for P&L, hiring, negotiating all lease and sales agreements, and maintaining pivotal constituent relationships. He had also served as manager of operations for a technology infrastructure firm.
Alan earned his bachelor's degree in banking and finance from Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, IA. Active in community life, Alan is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, where he participates in the Auction for Education and the Knights of Columbus. Several of his charities include Buena Vista University, the University of Minnesota, and St. Mary’s Development Fund. He also is a member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), a global, non-profit educational organization for business owners.
