As a result of the acquisition of Commonwealth Business Media, Alan joined UBM in July 2006. Alan has over thirty years of senior management experience in the media and information industry. Having held a range of posts with Primedia Information, Inc., from 1997 as President and Chief Executive Officer, Alan led the management buyout which created Commonwealth Business Media in October 2000. Prior to joining Primedia, Alan was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Thomson Transport Press. Under his leadership, Thomson Transport Press made a number of acquisitions and became a key provider of information for the worldwide transportation market. Alan graduated with a degree in Political Science from Ursinus College and holds a Masters degree in Education from Villanova University. |
