Alan J. Fisher, CHE, is a seasoned healthcare executive with expertise in the comprehensive planning, development, implementation and fine tuning of healthcare operations. Alan's healthcare knowledge covers all aspects of long term and long term acute care, nursing homes, medical/surgical, rehabilitation, psychiatry and rural health clinics.
Alan has successfully led healthcare institutions through growth, repositioning and reorganization periods to maximize profits and improve profitability. As an interim administrator for a 115-bed nursing home, he significantly improved receivables collection, reduced supply expenses and implemented a marketing strategy for census development. As the Director of Operations of a nursing home chain, Alan averted a possible bankruptcy situation by improving collections and significantly reducing supply costs through rationalized purchasing procedures. Alan also successfully led the licensing of a free-standing, rehabilitation hospital.
Alan has served in a variety of senior executive roles in healthcare organization. Prior to joining Focus Management Group, Alan served as the President and CEO of LTAC Hospital Corporation, where he directed the operations and management of long term acute care hospitals.
In another previous role, Alan served as COO of Metro Hospitalists, a physician hospitalists group serving patients in selected nursing homes, where his responsibilities included strategic practice development, physician recruiting and practice management.
Alan is a Diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Nursing Home Administrator. He received his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington State University.
