Mr. Schwartz has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, where he specializes in the information, software and communications sectors. He is an expert on the unique communication needs of the professional investment community and the specific requirements of Financial Information eXchange protocol (FIX) as used by the financial services sector. Currently, as senior vice president and general manager of TNS’ Financial Services Division, Mr. Schwartz is responsible for defining the division’s strategic direction and delivering data and voice transport solutions to the professional investment community.
Under Schwartz’s direction, TNS FSD has built strong relationships with the end-user community and strategic partnerships with key software vendors. Linking key financial markets around the world, FSD now services more than 600 leading international stockbrokers and fund managers who use TNS’ proprietary networks for automated trading and for interconnecting their trading desks with voice services.
Prior to joining TNS as director of sales in 1998, Mr. Schwartz was vice president and general manager, North America at Datastream International, Inc., a leading provider of research and analytical products for the worldwide financial community. At Datastream, Schwartz was responsible for expanding operations and building alliances with financial institutions across North America. He also held management positions in the information, software, and communication industries, and led numerous strategic business-development and marketing initiatives, including managing entire business units.
Mr. Schwartz earned an M.B.A. degree from New York University and a B.S. degree in business administration from Boston University.
