Alan Venook, M.D., is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where he leads the Gastrointestinal Oncology clinical program and is the Director of the UCSF / Mt. Zion Cancer Center Clinical Research Office. A nationally-recognized expert in colorectal and liver cancers, Dr. Venook received a BA degree from Rutgers University in 1976 and graduated from the UCSF School of Medicine in 1980. The focus of Dr. Venook’s research is developing and refining methods of treating tumors in the liver with directed approaches, including infusional chemotherapy or biological agents. He is also an expert in the management of cancer patients with liver disease. |
