Alan Tippie specializes in business litigation, business reorganization and bankruptcy. His practice focuses on representation of both creditors and debtors and institutional clients. As president and managing member of the firm since 1987, he has authority over all aspects of the firm's practice and operations. Mr. Tippie is admitted to practice before all federal district courts within California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He served as law clerk for the Honorable Barry Russell, United States Bankruptcy Judge. Mr. Tippie recently obtained a $10 million jury verdict in an action for fraud and misappropriation of trade secrets on behalf of a major dairy-products manufacturer. He served as special bankruptcy counsel to the Orange County Transportation Authority in the Orange County bankruptcy proceedings. He has served as a receiver by appointment from the Superior Court of the State of California, and as a private trustee and estate executor. His professional affiliations include membership in the Financial Lawyers' Conference, the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section) and the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum.
