Experience:
Alan Van Dyke is a partner in the firm’s tax practice. He has a substantial practice in advising fund sponsors in connection with private equity fund formations, and in structuring and documenting the interests of individual principals in private equity fund managers and general partners. His representation of private equity funds includes structuring and documenting special-purpose acquisition vehicles for portfolio company acquisitions that require special structures for tax or other reasons. In addition, he reviews private equity funds on behalf of taxable and tax exempt investors. He also advises banks, merchant banks and other organizations on the formation of employee coinvestment plans. In addition, he has a broad-based merger and acquisitions tax practice and advises sponsors and investors in the real estate area.
Alan has been with Mayer Brown since 1984.
