As Vice President of Managed Support Services, Mr. Craven has line-of-business responsibility for VMD's offerings providing facility operations and other services to government agencies throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. With nearly 30 years in management, including more than 16 years in federal contracting, he has managed highly successful transitions and has directly managed or provided senior management oversight for contracts supporting the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Federal Communications Commission, Department of Agriculture, Department of Defense, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Education, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Department of Justice, Department of Labor, Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Treasury Department, Fannie Mae Corporation, and a number of commercial clients. Mr. Craven came to VMD from NATEK, Inc., where he served as Vice President of Management Services and later as Chief Operating Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bloomsburg University and completed additional studies in economics and computer science. He had careers in education, the news media, and public relations before entering the federal contracting arena. A former member of the U.S. Atomic Industrial Forum and the U.S. Committee on Energy Awareness, he has been a frequent speaker on the subject of quality programs in the managed services business. |
