Al has successfully grown brands and businesses across multiple industries. Al began his career in the financial services industry. After earning his MBA from Carnegie Mellon, he launched his marketing career at H. J. Heinz. Over 12 years, Al led many Heinz businesses, and drove record market share on the flagship ketchup brand. Al was then recruited to Visa USA as SVP for consumer credit products, where for more than five years he helped grow market share, member satisfaction, and profitability. Al then joined Centura Health, Colorado's largest hospital and health services provider as SVP for strategic planning, marketing, and communications, again applying classic CPG marketing skills in a new industry. Among his responsibilities at Centura was developing a system-wide oncology plan. Like many, Al's family has been personally touched by cancer and he has made it a personal objective to make a difference. His volunteer work has included transporting cancer patients as part of the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program and providing 1:1 support to families of cancer patients. |
