With over 28 years of experience in government affairs and energy policy, Al Aldrich lends unique insight to our public policy sector. From 1995 to 2006, Al served as the Government Affairs Director for the Snohomish County Public Utility District where he proved a savvy strategist, working with legislators at the state and federal levels and leading his team in the advancement of energy legislation. Al has also served the PUD as Senior Manager for the Communications and Marketing Department (1992-1995), as well as Senior Manager for Energy Conservation (1985-1992). In 2005, Al led the effort with the US Congress and Senator Maria Cantwell to pass a federal energy bill that prevented the energy conglomerate Enron from collecting $125 million from Snohomish County ratepayers. Throughout his career, Al has been involved in industry and community organizations. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for the Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce as well as the Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross. He is also a long time member and past president of the South Everett/Mukilteo Rotary Club. Among Al's passions are golf, music, and wine.
