Akihiko Omikawa is the senior vice president for the Japan region responsible for driving and growing consumer broadband and carrier/ISP markets as well as integrated solutions for the corporate government and educational markets.
Omikawa brings more than twenty years of industry experience including enterprise partner and corporate sales enterprise business operations and Internet operations.
Beginning his career with Japan Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard) Omikawa was promoted to a sales manager. In 1992 he joined Microsoft Corporation in Japan where he held a number of leadership positions including Director of Sales Director of Enterprise Business Operations enterprise sales director general business managing director and as a member of the executive board at Microsoft. During his ten years at Microsoft Omikawa established the financial market sales group a partner sales division and separate sales organizations for each industry thereby contributing to the popularity of Windows NT in the Japanese market. He joined Trend Micro in February 2003.
Omikawa graduated from Japan's Nihon University College of Commerce in 1982 from the department of business administration. |
