Akbar Jazayeri is vice president of Regulatory Operations for Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation's largest investor-owned electric utilities. He is responsible for all state and federal ratemaking issues, development of regulated pricing structures, issues related to restructuring of electric industry, design and interpretation of tariffs, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-related issues such as transmission and reliability service rates. He is also SCE's Affiliate Officer and oversees SCE's compliance with Affiliate Transaction Rules and other regulatory orders. He was elected vice president on March 1, 2006
Jazayeri joined Edison in 1982 as a conservation and load management analyst and held various supervisory and management positions prior to being named director of Revenue and Tariffs in May 2001.
Jazayeri received his Ph.D. in economics from University of Southern California. |
