Ajei Gopal is responsible for the CA solutions that manage and automate systems networks databases workloads and identity and IT security services. In addition Ajei is a member of the CA Executive Leadership Team which defines and ensures execution of the Company's business and technical strategies.
Before joining CA in August of 2006 Ajei was executive vice president and chief technology officer for Symantec Corporation responsible for technical strategy and the development of emerging technologies architectures and standards for cross-product shared services such as localization and usability and for managing the company's significant technical and product operations in India and in China. Earlier at Symantec he oversaw the Compliance business unit and also managed business development and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to Symantec Ajei served as chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of ReefEdge Networks Inc. a wireless LAN systems company that he co-founded. Before that Ajei spent several years at IBM most recently as chief technology officer at the IBM Pervasive Computing Division. Earlier he was with IBM Research where he conducted and managed research in the areas of systems management and distributed and clustered systems. Ajei began his career as a member of the technical staff in the Applied Research Division at Bell Communications Research.
Ajei is the author of more than twenty U.S. patents and numerous publications. He received a bachelor's degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and a doctorate degree in computer science from Cornell University. |
