Aimee's practice focuses on oil and gas litigation. She has dealt with a wide array of legal issues arising out of exploration and production, including disputes involving operating agreements, leases, environmental issues, regulatory authority, and water bottom rights. Aimee currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA). Aimee has been invited to speak by various industry groups including the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute and the Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen. She was one of a team of attorneys who taught Mineral Law at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She also has authored journal articles dealing with oil and gas related issues. Prior to joining the firm Aimee practiced oil and gas litigation with a firm in Lafayette, Louisiana. Aimee was given the opportunity to clerk for the Honorable W. Eugene Davis of the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals from 2002-2003 and took a break from private practice to do so. Aimee received her B.G.S. from Louisiana State University in 1995 and her J.D. from L.S.U.'s Paul M. Hebert School of Law in 1998. While in law school, Aimee won the 1998 Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition and served on the Moot Court Board from 1997-98. She was the 1997 recipient of the Harry A. Johnson Jr. Memorial Scholarship. After graduation, Aimee was inducted into the Paul M. Hebert Hall of Fame in recognition of her achievements. |
