Aftab A. Ansari Ph.D. is the first member of the Lipid Sciences Viral Scientific Advisory Board. The charter of the Board is to help prioritize and guide the Company's unique process for the removal of lipids from viruses bacteria and other lipid-containing infectious agents.
Dr. Ansari is Professor Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Emory University and Research Professor Yerkes National Primate Research Center positions he has held since 1985. Prior to joining Emory University Dr. Ansari served in various scientific positions with the U.S. Navy the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Ansari's research has been focused in the areas of immunology and HIV/AIDS.
He holds a U.S. Patent for "Non-invasive diagnosis of allograft rejection" and a European Patent entitled "Agent for increasing chemokine production". He has published extensively with over 500 published papers and articles to his credit. |
