Adriano Schnur is an international associate with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP working at Global Project Finance and Global Securities Groups. His practice focuses primarily on the representation of project sponsors and financial institutions in the development and financing of a wide range of transportation, power, renewable energy and other infrastructure-related projects in Brazil.
Mr. Schnur's recent experience includes representing Credit Suisse in the acquisition financing and initial public offering in Brazil of Triunfo Participações e Investimentos S.A .- TPI, a holding company which owns four road and one energy concessionaires and a private container terminal in Brazil; advising the Municipality of São Paulo in connection with the creation and establishment of a clearing system to integrate payments from the local and state transportation services (bus, train and subway) - Conta Sistema-Bilhete Único; advising the Ministry of Planning and Budget and BNDES - Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social in the study for the implementation of a railring project in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo - Ferroanel; representing the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the U$100 million financing to MRS Logística S.A.; representing Skanska in legal and regulatory studies for the implementation of sugar cane bagasse fired power plants in Brazil; representing Banco UBS S.A. and Banco Morgan Stanley Dean Witter S.A. in the R$3.0 billion public share offer of CESP - Companhia Energética de São Paulo; representing the State of São Paulo, in the privatization of Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista - CTEEP; representing the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in the financing of Termopernambuco S.A., a gas-fired power plant owned by Neoenergia S.A.; and representing the Sponsors in the Termobahia Power Project and Ibirite Power Project.
Mr. Schnur is a graduate of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (LL.B). He is admitted to the Brazilian Bar and member of the IBDE (Brazilian Institute for Energy Law Studies). He is fluent in English and Portuguese. |
