Areas of Emphasis and Related Experience. Adisa's practice focuses on public finance, urban development law and local government regulation. Adisa works with special purpose districts, such as municipal utilities, public improvement districts and municipal management districts, both in the role of general counsel and of bond counsel.
Education and Professional Background. Columbia University (B.A., 1987); Stanford Law School (J.D., 1992). Admitted to practice: Texas 2006; California 1994. Prior to joining the firm, Adisa served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Sacramento, California and, before that, as a Litigation Associate at the California law firms of Downey Brand Seymour & Rohwer and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Oliver. She also clerked for the Honorable John C. Porfilio, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Member. State Bar of Texas; State Bar of California; Houston Bar Association; National Association of Bond Lawyers. Adisa has also been involved with bar admissions for more than 10 years, serving as a past Member and Chair of the California Committee of Bar Examiners and, presently, as a Committee Member and Workshop Facilitator with the National Conference of Bar Examiners. |
