Adam H. Tachner is Vice President and General Counsel of Atheros Communications, a leading developer of wireless communications semiconductors, systems and related products. Prior to being named General Counsel, he was Atheros's Intellectual Property Counsel.
Before joining Atheros, Adam was an associate attorney with Crosby, Heafy, Roach & May, P.C. (now ReedSmith), where he handled all facets of IP procurement, licensing, and strategic litigation in such diverse technologies as wireless communications and networking, electronic design automation, programmable logic, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Adam also was outside patent counsel to the 3Tera founders' previous companies - Object Dynamics and Z-force - from 1995-2000, and helped lay the foundation for their growing global patent portfolio.
Adam holds a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Fullerton and a Bachelor of Arts degree in social science from the University of California at Berkeley.
