Adam Sachs is a partner in the firm's San Francisco office and the chair of the firm's business department. He graduated from Brandeis University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1981) and the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law (J.D., 1986), where he was research and books editor of the Ecology Law Quarterly. He is the author of "Environmental Law and Policy in Developing Countries," 12 Ecology Law Quarterly 1075, 1985; and "Abandoning Hazardous Waste Sites in Bankruptcy," 13 Ecology Law Quarterly 555, 1986. He has been a member of the California Bar since 1986.
Mr. Sachs currently is the President of the Board of Directors of the Boalt Hall Alumni Association. Between 1992 and 1995, Mr. Sachs was an adjunct assistant professor of law at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During the 1994-1995 academic year, he was a lecturer in law at the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law.
