Mr. Wichman’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, counseling, prosecution, and licensing.
Mr. Wichman’s practice has involved a variety of complex civil matters, including antitrust, patent, trade secret, unfair competition, fraud, contract, qui tam, standard setting, licensing disputes, public utility, internal investigations, and in connection with complex operating agreements.
Technical Expertise
Mr. Wichman’s electrical engineering training concentrated on communication theory and systems, optics, waveguides, signal processing, and solid state. He has represented clients in legal matters involving a variety of technical subject matters, including semiconductor manufacture, computer memory architecture and design, analog circuit design, medical devices, optical devices, digital imaging, software applications, steam generator performance, and missile defense systems. Mr. Wichman’s economic training focused on industrial organization, and economics of antitrust.

Prior Professional Experience
Before attending law school, Mr. Wichman served on active duty as an officer in the United States Navy. He was a research associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and has worked at both Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory and the Navy Research and Development laboratory in San Diego.
