Adam Bass is a Shareholder and member of the Firm's Board of Directors. He represents financial institutions, particularly in the mortgage banking and automobile finance industries. His experience includes lender liability defense, loan workouts, labor relations, bankruptcy, creditors' rights, real property litigation and regulatory compliance. Mr. Bass also practices general business law and represents a number of corporate clients.
An arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Mr. Bass also works in the Dispute Resolution Section of the Bar Association. He served on the committee advising the Los Angeles Superior Court on issues concerning receiverships, and has extensive experience in all aspects of receiverships, judicial foreclosure and real estate bankruptcies.
Mr. Bass is active in the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of California, the Provisional Remedies Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California Receivers Forum. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the California Mortgage Bankers Association and the American Financial Services Association, Civil Justice Association of California and Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice. Additionally, he is involved with the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and serves on the boards of a number of nationwide financial institutions. He speaks frequently on issues affecting mortgage banking and other financial institutions.
Mr. Bass received his B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science, graduating with departmental honors from the University of San Diego in 1988. In addition, he studied International Relations at the University of San Diego Graduate School, and pursued coursework at the Institute on Comparative Law in London, before receiving his J.D. in 1991 from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Mr. Bass is a member of the American, California, and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. |
