Intellectual Property
Managed a project to evaluate and suggest improvements for the technology used in the patent filing process of a Fortune 50 pharmaceutical company.
Served as a technical lead and business analyst on project to install a paperless intellectual property system for a Fortune 50 company's law department.
Matter Management
Improved the performance of a UK based corporation's law department by gathering requirements existing systems and data protection work streams on a matter management spend management and document management project.
Managed a project to implement a matter management system in a Fortune 500 company. The project included integration with electronic billing document management and accounts payable systems. Adam served as the overall project manager. Project tasks also included process reengineering data conversion testing and training.
Served as the lead consultant on a "Work Process Review Team" to document and suggest changes to current law department processes in a Fortune 500 retail company. Conducted a series of interviews which led to suggested new processes process maps and guidance for the department on the many decisions necessary to affect change in their organization. The focus of the engagement was the upgrade of a matter management system.
Designed and developed the integration between a large law department matter management system and SAP. Law firm invoices were entered into the matter management system and the data entered was electronically sent to SAP. Payment information was then sent back from SAP to update the matter management records. The project also involved integrating a mainframe based risk management system with the matter management system.
Managed a project to help a movie studio's law department select a matter management application. Project involved interviewing key staff and defining system requirements.
Document Management
Served as the technical lead to install a document management system in a Federal Agency. Conducted a series of interviews to determine the proper system specifications. Worked with law department staff to install and test the system.
Electronic Billing
Defined the requirements for a large Internet company's electronic billing system. The project entailed interviewing key individuals in the law department as well as analyzing their current billing and invoice approval process. The project also involved identifying the top three electronic billing vendors to satisfy the requirements.
Intranets
"Managed a project to build a large law department's intranet site. The project involved designing and building the site based on Lotus Domino Server technology. The site was intended for use for more than 180 000 employees.
