Adam Firsel is Director of Finance for Mid-America Development Partners, LLC (Mid Am). His primary responsibilities include underwriting of prospective Mid-Am developments, working with lenders and investors to structure development financing, administering the closings of all acquisitions and dispositions, financial reporting and budgeting. In 2004, Firsel oversaw $45 million in land acquisitions for development projects valued at $225 million.In addition, he serves Mid-Am as a development manager, coordinating the process of securing the municipal zoning and planning approvals required for development projects.Before joining Mid-Am, Firsel was a lender/underwriter for Newman Financial Services of Denver, Colo., a real estate investment bank that specializes in bridge and mezzanine structured finance and is a subsidiary of GMAC Commercial Holding Corporation. Prior to that he worked as a financial analyst for MB Financial Bank in Chicago.Firsel received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in real estate and urban land economics. He also studied finance and international business at American Intercontinental University in London, UK. Raised in Arlington Heights, Ill., he now lives in Chicago. |
